The Mastiffs were to be in the
ring on Tuesday at 12:30 which left Sunday and Monday for us to
check out New York City- Jack Style! We took the dogs via
pet taxi to Saks fifth Avenue! And what a reception they
got! Saks is known for being very dog friendly and they
were. We went in one entrance circled half way around the
store and out another entrance and back to the first entrance in
an hour and half! Jack and Scottie loved the attention and
were fawned over by literally hundreds of people. Being
right next to the American Girl Store, there were a lot of
little girls walking by and one gave up her doll to take a dozen
or so pictures of her new "friend" Jack. She didn't want to
leave and it took some bribery on her parents part to set her on
her way. She is sure to be a Mastiff owner in the future.
Little girls, Models, Grandmothers and Grandfathers - they all
stopped to give both boys a pat on the head and ask a few
questions. The streets of New York City were in awe of two
of the biggest dogs they had ever seen. Jack and Scottie took it
all in stride.
